The Opportunity

Reporting into the Food & Beverage Manager and supported by an already established experienced Assistant Management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and leadership of 2 Restaurant outlets within the Resort.

The role of Restaurants Manager will include but is not limited to:

  • The management of the Restaurants operation across 2 outlets with full responsibility for ensuring an exceptional guest experience in each outlet.
  • Lead and motivate team members through effective communication, training and development.
  • Assisting with and ensuring all HR procedures are followed within the department including recruitment, ER, absence and performance management.
  • Management of the Restaurants annual budgets, agreeing and implementing the appropriate mechanisms to effectively manage costs and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the Restaurants offerings.
  • Ensure the interior, fixtures and equipment of each food and beverage outlet are properly maintained and presented, both inside and out, with the highest standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
  • Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to promote the business; network with existing clients and develop strong relationships to enhance revenue opportunity for the Restaurant outlets.
  • Ensure quality standards and procedures are fully implemented and regularly reviewed  with continuous improvement at the forefront.
  • Maintain and strengthen the Resorts commitment to having a well presented, well trained and efficient workforce that reflects and affirms the diversity of the community.
  • Ensure an effective and safe working environment is maintained in compliance with appropriate legislation, such as Licensing Laws, Health & Safety, and other statutory requirements.

 What we are looking for

Essential experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Restaurant Management role at Head of Department level.
  • Previous experience of forecasting and managing budgets at a senior level with proven ability of presenting this to Leadership.
  • Previous experience of leading, mentoring and developing a Food & Beverage team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Previous complex employee relations experience.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acuman.

Desirable experience

  • Previous experience of managing multiple outlets within a hotel environment.
  • Previous experience of bringing a team through change.
